Dear friend of the Cosmic Woods,
According to the latest cosmic weather report, our ship(s)—both individually and collectively—are currently sailing through a potent (and somewhat stormy) sea.
Potent naturally implies that the current time-spirit is full of potentiality. And by one of life’s essential laws, whenever there is great potential, there is a corresponding quality of “growing edge” (colloquially and sometimes falsely called “problems”) present.
This is due to what I would assume to be the most karmic of all archetypal combinations: Saturn and Neptune lingering together in the final degrees of Pisces. I observe it acutely left and right, above and below—in myself, in the closest circles of my personal life, among friends, and among clients on different continents. Everywhere, major transmutation seems to be afoot.
To help you gauge your own process in relation to this specific constellation, here are a few initial archetypal pointers:
Saturn:
The planet of the objective, of fate, karma, vocation, responsibility, the Inner Adult, and all things structural. Saturn is not known to be a kind, soft mother—so it’s best not to expect the hot-chocolate-with-marshmallows treatment. Rather, it embodies the stern, transpersonal archetype that cares little for personal sensitivities or comfort zones. Saturn says: This is what is objectively up for you. This is what you must take responsibility for. This is where it’s high time to grow up.
Neptune:
Neptune is our umbilical cord to the universe—our cosmic connection. It is the planet hardest to grasp, toughest to pin down. At the end of the day (or night, year, or life…), Neptune has one overarching agenda: to help us find our access to All-One-ness. It is the grey eminence—the benevolent Cardinal Richelieu pulling the invisible strings in the background while the other personas dance on the drama stage of life.
Pisces:
Pisces, in principle, shares the same overarching agenda as Neptune—they spring from the same archetypal root. Both aim toward completion, wholeness, and healing.
